Jacob Lin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University. He holds a PhD and MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as BS and MS degrees from NTU. His research applies computer vision, machine learning, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to improve construction project controls. He developed a 4D BIM-based production management system for proactive schedule management, earning recognition from the World Economic Forum and MIT Tech Review. He also received a Best Paper Award at the 2015 ASCE Workshop on Computing in Civil Engineering.
