Our Robotics group is about to get busy as we welcome our brand new 6-degree-of-freedom robot arm from Techman Robotics. As a highly dexterous manipulator, this newest addition represents an important step forward in expanding our labβs capabilities and supporting new directions in our work.
With this new system, our research is moving away from mere sensing and is heading towards direct intervention of robotics in construction, opening up new opportunities for experimentation, prototyping, and hands-on exploration. It is a shift toward more applied, interactive workflows, previously unexplored with our arsenal of UGVs.

We are looking forward to integrating the robot into collaborative projects and canβt wait to see how it shapes our research. Keep an eye out for our upcoming work with this new π€ “member”!
